Technology is a human creation. The very purpose of it is to benefit its creators. The technological improvements and innovations that we see every day are all created in order to help or solve our needs, with only a few that actually creates new ones based on these improvements. I believe humans have indeed become very attached to the technology that surrounds them, and some are even enslaved to the products and objects that are supposed to set them free. However, I too believe that we can make things different if we change our mindset towards technology, and rather than demonizing it, we should start creating new and creative ways of using it without losing the freedom that it must bring us. I finish with the following quote by Omar Bradley: “If we continue to develop our technology without wisdom or prudence, our servant may prove to be our executioner.”
